This Juneteenth, join The Unsung Collective in Bryant Park as part of the 2026 Picnic Performances series.

Under the direction of Tyrone Clinton, Jr. The Unsung Collective will present “Starburst”, and evening celebrating Black artistry, resilience, and freedom through music and reflection.

The program features:

Starburst by Jessie Montgomery

Night Songs by H. Leslie Adams, arranged by Dominic Waddles, featuring baritone soloist Phillip Bullock

Five Freedom Songs by Jessie Montgomery, featuring soprano soloist Olanna Goudeau and percussion

A guided meditation by Negesti

As an organization devoted to celebrating Black and Brown musicians in Western art music, we are honored to share this program with the New York City community on Juneteenth.
